Winter CES Las Vegas 1994

Feeling nostalgic.  Digitizing old videos.

Before there was E3, there was a small game tent at CES. The year was 1994. My studio, Alexandria, had just shipped its first Sega Genesis titles Sylvester and Tweety in Cagey Capers, and Demolition Man (also on the SNES). Matt Powers, Trevor Grimshaw and I, along with others, were sent there to capture their first promotion.
This is a video of our trip, taken to document all the new titles that were coming out, and to capture the public playing our games for the first time. I left all edits in, warts and all... so you can see what fun a bunch of twenty somethings had while finding our way around Vegas for the first time back at the height of the 16 bit era.

Cel animation in video games / The Making of Aladdin

I was art director & animation lead on the game Dynoblaze , mentioned in this great little documentary about cel animation in the early 16 bit video game era! Wild to see it quoted.

That would have been a beautiful title on the 3DO if it didn't get canceled due to poor 3DO sales.

Nice to see it is not forgotten!

Doctor Sketchy's in Portland had their first Zoom Online drawing session tonight.

It was good to blow the rust off, and a great bargain too.
